We are looking for a part-time Maintenance Person in our family run care home, which is registered for 28 residents. In this stand alone role, reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Dealing with day-to-day maintenance issues, and Contractors where necessary
- Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors
- Conducting weekly and monthly Health & Safety Checks throughout the home (e.g. legionella and fire safety)
- Ensuring the outside space is safe and presentable at all times
Experience in general maintenance, decorating and carpentry is required. Some basic plumbing skills would also be advantageous. The ideal candidate should be friendly, personable and enjoy the company of the elderly. They should also share our core values and be:

The hours are 10 per week, worked over 2 days (ideally each Monday and Thursday). Candidates must be flexible to meet the needs of the role as and when maintenance issues arise, and so occasional weekend working may be required.
